We had a reminder of God's amazing timing here...
As we walked into the Presbyterian Manor building, Mrs. Debbie was suddenly reminded of her granny (who had lived her last years in a facility such as this nurshing home), and that this day was Feb. the 16th. The exact day, one year earlier, that her granny had passed on. Some tears later, we were amazed that no one had before realized this up-coming date before. Yet, as Mrs. Debbie said, how fitting to be playing for these people in this place on this day in remberance of her granny! Here's a video of us playing the lighthouse at the Presbyterian Manor in Wichita Falls, Texas...

Our CD Is Finished!!!! YeeeeHaaaaaaaawwwwwww
We have finished our CD, and we shipped it to Americana Mastering in Dickson, Tennessee. John Eberle owns Americana Mastering and has been mastering for over 30 years. He has mastered all of the Greats in bluegrass music. He had several projects that won IBMA Awards just this year! We are so blessed to have John put the finishing touch to what has been a year long project for us. This has been a long time coming for us. We finally believe that we are actually going to have our own CD. Thank You Lord for blessing us with this project! We have learned so much during this process. We started recording at Music Miner Portable Studio with Ernest Key. Ernie and I engineered the project, and I was the producer. We also recorded many of the tracks here at our little home studio in Seymour. Ernie worked many of the tracks, and I ended up doing all the mixing here in Seymour. Jeff Deaton helped me with one song to give me a little insight to how to set up the songs. He helped us so much with just that one song. Wow...it's amazing what we have learned during this year. I'm really glad it is out of our hands and now we just waiting for them to to do what they do. We are now working with the graphics for the CD panels and getting all that ready to be sent in for those guys. We should have the master sometime between Christmas and New Year's, then it is off to the duplicator's and that should take a couple weeks to finish. I'm now working to get our original songs(6) copyrighted and registered with ASCAP as a songwriter and a Publisher. There seems to always be something that needs to be done. We are looking forward to the next season of music and a new year. This has been a year that will never be forgotten. We have lost so many family members this year that I can't count them all with both hands. I would need to pull the shoes to continue to count them all. Our family has been dealing with our three year old granddaughter being sexually abused by her step dad and watching my son struggle with all the emotional, physical and FINANCIAL stress of trying to get her out of that situation to get custody of the little girl. The wheels of justice sure turn slow sometimes and the cost is overwhelming!!!! Keep them in your prayers. I've spent the last year working away from home. I would work Monday -Thursday or sometimes Friday in the panhandle area working and I finally got to come home in November. I now haven't had worked in two weeks. That's just the highlights to this year, not to mention what all is going on in our country, so needless to say...We really can't wait to see this year to come to a close and we pray that 2010 will not be as eventful as 2009. Even through all this, we are so blessed. God has given us so much and He has loved us so much. He is always preparing us for what we need to be ready for. He is always molding us with all the things we live through. Danny is getting along really good. He actually stood through a whole one hour show last week. He only sat down through 2 songs! It is awesome to see him getting stronger everyday. God is Great! I would ask if you would keep us in your prayers this year as we get ready for the new year of music and ministry. I will let you know as soon as we have CDs in our hands. Thank you all for your support! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hope to see you down the road.

Danny's Doing Great!
Debbie and I went to see Danny Last Saturday evening and he was doing great! It doesn't even look like him the way he walks now. He walks like the rest of us. WOW. We went back Sunday to do some much needed jamming. We will be at his church next Saturday the 31st to do some jamming for their Pioneer Days! That will be fun. Starts at 5:00 PM. Our CD is getting close. We have a great place to have it mastered in Nashville, so as soon as we finished the final mixes, we can send it to John Eberle with Americana CD Mastering. He's a great guy. We are trying to be finished by Christmas. Keep us in your prayers and we hope to see you down the road of life.
