Our CD Is Finished!!!! YeeeeHaaaaaaaawwwwwww

We have finished our CD, and we shipped it to Americana Mastering in Dickson, Tennessee. John Eberle owns Americana Mastering and has been mastering for over 30 years. He has mastered all of the Greats in bluegrass music. He had several projects that won IBMA Awards just this year! We are so blessed to have John put the finishing touch to what has been a year long project for us. This has been a long time coming for us. We finally believe that we are actually going to have our own CD. Thank You Lord for blessing us with this project! We have learned so much during this process. We started recording at Music Miner Portable Studio with Ernest Key. Ernie and I engineered the project, and I was the producer. We also recorded many of the tracks here at our little home studio in Seymour. Ernie worked many of the tracks, and I ended up doing all the mixing here in Seymour. Jeff Deaton helped me with one song to give me a little insight to how to set up the songs. He helped us so much with just that one song. Wow...it's amazing what we have learned during this year. I'm really glad it is out of our hands and now we just waiting for them to to do what they do. We are now working with the graphics for the CD panels and getting all that ready to be sent in for those guys. We should have the master sometime between Christmas and New Year's, then it is off to the duplicator's and that should take a couple weeks to finish. I'm now working to get our original songs(6) copyrighted and registered with ASCAP as a songwriter and a Publisher. There seems to always be something that needs to be done. We are looking forward to the next season of music and a new year. This has been a year that will never be forgotten. We have lost so many family members this year that I can't count them all with both hands. I would need to pull the shoes to continue to count them all. Our family has been dealing with our three year old granddaughter being sexually abused by her step dad and watching my son struggle with all the emotional, physical and FINANCIAL stress of trying to get her out of that situation to get custody of the little girl. The wheels of justice sure turn slow sometimes and the cost is overwhelming!!!! Keep them in your prayers. I've spent the last year working away from home. I would work Monday -Thursday or sometimes Friday in the panhandle area working and I finally got to come home in November. I now haven't had worked in two weeks. That's just the highlights to this year, not to mention what all is going on in our country, so needless to say...We really can't wait to see this year to come to a close and we pray that 2010 will not be as eventful as 2009. Even through all this, we are so blessed. God has given us so much and He has loved us so much. He is always preparing us for what we need to be ready for. He is always molding us with all the things we live through. Danny is getting along really good. He actually stood through a whole one hour show last week. He only sat down through 2 songs! It is awesome to see him getting stronger everyday. God is Great! I would ask if you would keep us in your prayers this year as we get ready for the new year of music and ministry. I will let you know as soon as we have CDs in our hands. Thank you all for your support! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hope to see you down the road.

Brothers in Christ,
Eddie

Danny's Doing Great!

Debbie and I went to see Danny Last Saturday evening and he was doing great! It doesn't even look like him the way he walks now. He walks like the rest of us. WOW. We went back Sunday to do some much needed jamming. We will be at his church next Saturday the 31st to do some jamming for their Pioneer Days! That will be fun. Starts at 5:00 PM. Our CD is getting close. We have a great place to have it mastered in Nashville, so as soon as we finished the final mixes, we can send it to John Eberle with Americana CD Mastering. He's a great guy. We are trying to be finished by Christmas. Keep us in your prayers and we hope to see you down the road of life.

He's Walking Again!

Well today has started out to be a good one. I stayed with Danny last night and he had a good night. He has a machine that keep his knees moving and he keep that thing going all night. About every 3 hours he would switch. He is having some soreness( He calls it) but is doing really well. He has a determination to getting his exercises done and done above and beyond what they expect. The doctors say he is ahead of the curve with his recovery. His cateriter came out this morning. He is able to bend his knees to a 97 degrees with his left and 92 with his right and can straighten them out to 9 degrees. Looks like he will be going home Saturday afternoon and will have home health come in to help him with his therapy. He made two trips down the hall and around the nurses station yesterday without any tears! He really wants to stick around here until tonight so he can have their SURF and TURF on the menu. That want he is having this Friday, he had it last time with his hip and has talked about all day yesterday. They brought his breakfast this morning with his chooses for the day...Looks like he has it tough up here!LOL Well keep praying for a quick recovery...we have lots of music to make!!!! Thanks again!

Danny's Surgery Went Great!!!

Danny's surgery went well! He had both knees replaced. He went in ay around 5:30 am and was back in his room at 1:00 pm. Doctors said he did great. He's having alittle pain, but he said he is managing pretty well. I was there yesterday(Tuesday) when they brought him to his room. He is in good spirits and is ready to get going. Yesterday was only pain management, and resting. Today they got him out of bed and he has his shorts on and sat up in a chair. Tomorrow, they are suppose to have him up and WALKING!! Man...that's crazy. He is in the Plaza Medical Center in Forth Worth. Room 701. He may be there for 3 to 5 days, then somewhere around a week at a rehab somewhere in the Iowa Park or Wichita Falls area. They don't have alot of info about this yet. Please keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery! The prayers so far have been awesome, but we can't let up now, he has alot of healing and rehab that is bound to be painful. He is a super strong man, so I know he will be up and going soon. Thank you for all your prayers. You can keep up with us on our website and blog. God Bless and we hope to see you down the road,

God Paints Us A Pretty Picture!

For those of you that can't afford those "one of a kind" paintings.....May I suggest you get a camera, keep it with you at all times, and you might find the one those "one of a kinds" that nobody can paint like our great Creator. Our All Mighty God can paint things that no one can. As you can see, here are just two supreme examples of the kind of God we serve! It's by His grace that we are rightous in his eyes. God is Great!!!

To Be With Our Lord!

Today at 8:16 PM Debbie's mom, Barbara passed away peacefully as her family gathered. She lived a long and full life of 70 years. She had been living with Congestive Heart Failure for about 16 years. She has always said that the last 16 years were just the icing on the cake, because she never thought she would see those days come to pass. Those days were a gift from God. She always said she was the "luckiest mommy in the whole USA". I believe I am the lucky one to have known such a great woman. She was a pistol!!! She will be dearly missed and the family would like to thank each and everyone of you for all your prayers, concerns and love that you have shown

News on Debbie's Mom

Well the doctors say we need a miracle!!! They are out of options! Her lungs and heart are so weak that they can not keep her CO2 levels down. Her level is in the 70's now with nothing we can do but wait and watch her just get weaker and weaker until she falls asleep or something else gets her, but keep praying. God says to never stop praying and pray for everything. God is THE healer and he will heal her. Her healing may come by way as going home to be with the healer, but is there any other healing that would be better than this? Not for us believers. We are left with great memories, and a great future, cause one day we will all be united!!! Even through the sad things of the past two weeks, there are many blessing that are taking place everyday. It is amazing to see a really close family come even closer and draw straight from each other. God is awesome! Barbara continues to keep such a great sense of humor despite all her troubles and she has to be one of the toughest woman I have ever known. She continues to fight for life each and every day with a vigor that would make any Marine proud! We take each hour as it comes. Some are great hours, with something Barbara said or did to remind us who she is, and some hours leaving us with hope, some say it's a false hope, but they must not have God in their heart, because if they did, they would know that through God, anything is possible! Then there are those hours that we realize what we could soon face, and that's when we cling even more to our Heavenly Father for support, love and comfort in knowing his grace for us! So as he said...Pray often and Pray for eveything!!! God is Great

Please keep Debbie's mother, Barbara Ethridge, in your prayers. She has been in the Lubbock Heart Hospital since Saturday, March 7th with all kinds of issues dealing with her heart. She has been living with congestive heart failure for 17 years now and has been doing pretty good until recently. During the past three weeks her health has been steadily declining. She will be in the hospital for several more days at least and this is a difficult time for their family. Debbie's grandmother passed away February 16th and her uncle passed away in late January.

Here is Eddie with his friends, Mike Jump on the left and Ernie Key on the right. Mike was formally the guitar player and great lead and tenor singer for Cadillac Sky. Mike and Eddie played together back in the early 90's in Mike's band called "Southern Union." Ernie is the owner on Music Miner Studio. Ernie is recording our new CD project. We are excited to be finishing up on this really soon. We will keep you updated as to when it will be released!

Here is Debbie with the IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year, Dale Ann Bradley! She really puts on a great show!! We love her singing and Debbie was excited to get to meet her.

Prayers for Danny!

We would like to ask everyone to please put Danny on your prayer list! He has a doctor appointment on Feb. 19th with a hip and knee doctor. Danny has some issues with a hip and both of his knees. We ask that you pray that they find a quick and easy solution for him so he will have a great and quick recovery with whatever needs to be done. He is not able to work right now so your prayers would be wonderful!!! Thank you for all your prayers and support! We will see you down the road soon !!!!

Our CD ..."Songs To Sing...Tales to Tell"

Here is Debbie in the studio working on her vocals. We hope to have it done by March, but we'll see. I believe we will have 14 songs on it with 6 originals that we wrote. We are really having fun with this project. We are recording with Ernie Key,the owner of Music Miner Studio. We have most of the tracks done, just need mainly our fiddler, Jasey Davis (We are sure PROUD to have her too) to put her stuff on it and our vocals thats left. Then it's back to the mixing room to set levels and get them ready!!! It is really coming together good and I hope we will have a project that will have some great toe tapping for you and be easy listening to your ears!!! We just got back from the Amarillo jam with 3 hard days of picking. We got to send some time there with our good friends, the Millers(AKA The Triple L Band). We always enjoy our time with this great Family! Then we went to Olney, Tx to Jasey's 16th birthday picking party. We picked there for 2 more days and man was that fun. Darrell and Tempie Batten from Lubbock was there and we always enjoy playing with them. We also got to meet some new friends, Will Thomasson...WOW...His Uncle is the famous Texas Fiddler Benny Thomasson!!! Boy oh boy can he fiddle too!! Then there was Travis Terrell... he was Jasey's fiddle teacher for awhile (and she learned VERY WELL from him) before he moved to Nashville to become a studio picker. He went out there back in July and is now with the Miley Cyrus tour which is the biggest tour in America right now!!! Man he was awesome on fiddle. He plays everything and any style...bluegrass, Jazz, you name it, he plays it on fiddle or guitar!!! He is also with another band that is going to Europe for a 3 month tour soon! Man I would love to have any of those gigs. We also had Wayne Minor and Al. Not sure Al's last name, but he was a really neat guy. Loved playing with both of those guys. Wayne plays a mean guitar and Mandolin and Al could play some mean backup on guitar for all those fiddle tunes! We have been really blessed to be able to share some time with people that love the Lord the way all these people do! So we had 5 full days of picking this week...right at 48 - 50 hours of total picking time!!! Man talk about sore fingers!!!! Even these keys cause alittle pain tonight! Well better go for now. Hope to see you down the road sometime!
We are a Traditional Bluegrass Gospel band based out of the Seymour Texas area. We feel we are blessed to be able to use our talents that God had given us to spread his love through our music.
